        At The Black Barn, It's
not about shopping, it's about an experience.
An experience like our forefathers knew. Have you ever wondered where
the "good old days" went? Well in many years our family have seen a lot
of the old traditions fall by the wayside, and we feel there is
something missing. So we decided to take an old barn and create an old
time store.
Where do you start? Well first we remember country cured ham and hoops
of cheese, then there were canned jams and jellies.We were thinking of
items for our customers to remember the past, and of course you "must"
have candy, and children should "never" have to pay full price, so our
memories led us back to the days of penny candy and that's what was
decided.Our journey has brought many small item lines to the store
like: RADA Cutlery, Amish Country Popcorn, Milled Flour Products, Dried
Apples Peaches and Bananas, Canned Pickles, Chow Chow,Vidalia Products,
Honey, Rock candy,and the largest selection of
Owners: Steve and
Marla Carter  Dried Beans in the area. But there will also be a good selection of produce and garden seed, along
with bedding plants. The most special part is, you are welcome to come
in and play checkers anytime you choose. |
